The Setting

The Spontin Music Studio is in an intimate setting, on a house boat moored in National Trust Forest on the River Orwell

There's a cosy lounge upstairs for the important liquid & herbal remedy breaks between sessions!

And great views into the woods and over the river for chilling out on deck...

The Studio

The studio itself features 10 simultaneous live channels of multi-track hard disk recording into Cubase SL Version 2.0.

Or, any number of channels can be laid down individually and overdubbed, only constrained by the processing power of the Apple iMac

It's especially suitable for new bands who want to record their first demo.

The studio can cater for anyone from a solo performer to a full rock band so drop us an email and pop in anytime to check out the set up....

Rates

Rates start at £20/hour for a 10 hour day meaning that if you're well rehearsed a great quality demo can be produced for around £200.

My speciality though is LIVE RECORDING where it is possible to record, mix and master a whole album in a day for the same £200, if you're a well rehearsed act....

If you use my musical equipment the first hour will be charged as set up time.

If you use your own gear the setting up is done on the day and charged for the time it takes.

(I normally find mixing and mastering takes as long as the recording so to get an idea of total price for LIVE RECORDING estimate how long your set will take to get down and then double it).
